Ok U 17.10.1 came. Spores have an immense buff.
Being able to pop on enemy death and the range can now be boosted by mods, this makes it insanely valuable in wiping out the thrash while heavily debuffing the survivors with viral procs. All with minimum energy investment.
Tactic is simple, press 1 to spam spore. Cast it on several targets, then use a power AOE weapon to detonate them. This spreads out to various targets all over the place and deals a ton of damage and procs.
Best used on weapons like Gas specced Ignis since it works perfectly and has a decent proc chance. The secret is basically this. If the target is affected by toxin proc, the damage WILL carry over when the Spore is burst. Gas damage proc is counted as toxin damage and Ignis can get a respectable proc rate. The Ignis can also easily detonate multiple spores so it will go hand in hand easily with this.
Alternate weapons include Torid will also do horrifying damage and can get an extremely high proc rate as well. However it will be much more static and you need to pre-plan your attacks, so that the Spored’ enemy will walk right into it. Atomos will work fine but you will need some aim to detonate the orbs. Embolist is pretty much farting range so i don’t recommend that at all. :p
If you are using Miasma, use this formula. 2->1->4.
Yes it is costly and the damage looks low, but you are still going for range and that is what matters.
Again with the new Spore, you won’t really need it. So go ahead and clean house.
Rejuv Molt. If you need healing, you will need to sacrifice one of the range mods.
Either one works actually. Dumping overextended also greatly increases your spore damage and of molt hp, so the Molt can actually last long enough to heal you at harder content.
